This may be your first machine, and you're about to discover what it feels like to hold a real tattoo machine in your hands. That's why we've decided to give you a quick overview of the technical terms associated with your machine.

Our machines are tested and pre-set before shipment. However, they may become misadjusted during transport or simply over time. It is therefore essential to know how to adjust your machine before you even start tattooing.

Important Operating Adjustments

The distance between the tip of the contact screw and the end of the front spring is essential for the proper operation of your machine.

First, check the alignment as shown in the image above. Then, using your thumb, lower the front of the armature bar at the grommet and adjust the contact screw so that you can insert an object approximately 1.5 mm thick, such as a 5-cent coin.

Depending on the work you are carrying out, you can then make slight adjustments to the contact screw by a few millimetres. Tightening the screw slightly will increase the speed of the machine's strokes.

Pay Attention to Needle Depth

This adjustment becomes important once the needle has been installed. A screw located above the grip allows you to adjust how far the needles extend and penetrate the skin.

The needle should be adjusted to approximately 1.5 mm. The final setting may vary depending on your working technique.
